Wound Care Registered Nurse

As a Wound Care Registered Nurse, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn – whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering adults in our patient-centered care model. In this role you will make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously.

What you will do in this job:

• Provide burn and wound care for patients.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations and make care based decisions.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Provide general nursing care while effectively communicating pertinent clinical information to physicians, nurses and other support staff.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Act as a resource for new employees.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
• Accurately complete documentation on patient's record.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN Registered Nurse.
• Wound Care Certified, or Certified Wound Specialist, must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• 2 years experience Required Years of Experience.
